from 35.00

In Mexico on Day of the Dead, the living make offerings of sugar skulls (las calaveras de azucar) to welcome and commemorate dead souls. In this workshop taught by Michele Simons, you will participate in this ancient tradition by making and designing two sugar skulls that celebrate the sweetness of life while honoring the spirits of the dead. Proprietress of the Sugar Skull Gallery, Michele can be found making these irreverent memento mori at Galeria de la Raza during the month of October.
